It was horrible customer service and the people unnecessarily rude.

Aug 28, 2024 -I was yelled at in the drive thru at the KFC on Broadway in Bangor, Maine after waiting about 15 mins behind a line of cars. Car in front of me, a black Nissan Altima took forever to order and then apparently got the wrong order when they got to the window.

I watched the KFC worker pass thru to them a big bag with handles, then I watched the passenger, a male rifle thru the bag then the driver rifled thru the bag then begin honking her horn and wave trying to get someone's attention. They honked 4 or 5 times before someone came to the window. I saw the driver, a blonde woman, hold the bag in the car window by the handles and was trying to pass it back thru while they talked back and forth and it barely fit, (cause it was a big bag). Finally, the KFC worker took the bag and after the window closed I heard the driver yell "I will swear if I want to." And some other stuff that I couldnt make out.

I get it, she was pissed she got the wrong order and the KFC worker was probably overworked, I get it. The KFC worker came back after a few mins and gave them a smaller medium sized bag and they still sat and waited. Then the KFC worker came back a few mins after that and gave them a smaller single bag. They drove off.

Mind you I am behind them in a taller truck, I saw them rifle thru the bag, exchange words, pass the food back and forth. I get up to the window and the KFC worker tries to hand me a small bag. I shake my head and she asked if I ordered (whatever was in the bag), I said no, I ordered an 8 piece bucket and sides, it wasn't my order. I had seen the big handled bag sitting at the counter when I drove up and waited for someone to come to the window.

I suspected it may have been the bag they handed to the car in front of me and I didn't want it if it was because they pawed all thru it. She reaches over for the big bag. I asked if that was the same bag she handed the other car cause I watched her pass them a big bag with handles and I saw them paw thru it. She said "No, I didn't give them a bag with handles".

I said I saw you give them a bag with handles and them hand you back a bag with handles. She denied it, said "That didn't happen and I can look at the cameras to prove it." (like her checking the cameras is going to change what I saw). Now, if she had just said, no, I can assure you the bag I gave them isn't this one, I would have believed her, but for her to deny she handed them a bag with handles made me immediately suspicious. She then yells to someone "She is trying to say I gave the other customer this bag because it has handles." I told her I just wanted to be sure it wasn't the same bag.

She came unglued and starting yelling at me that there was long line of cars behind me and I was holding them all up and there are hungry kids waiting to eat.", Like WTAF? Literally trying to blame me for the long drive-thru line when she was the one giving out wrong orders. I said none of this is my fault and I just don't want food if someone else has pawed through it. She tried again to hand me the bag and I pointed out I could see the cover was off the bucket of chicken and she snapped "I will have them make it again" and slammed the bag down and yelled that I would have to pull around front.

By this time I was tired of being disrespected for something I had nothing to do with especially after paying $32.50 for an 8 piece bucket with 2 sides. I drove around and went inside to ask for a refund. I was upset but I was not raising my voice nor was I disrespectful. The counter worker asked if she could help me.

I explained I was at the drive thru and I just want a refund. She said "They are remaking your order." I said no thanks, I just want a refund. The counter girl, complete with blue hair in ponytails on the sides of her head, said I will get the manager." In the meantime, I am standing at the counter and I hear them arguing in the back and the manager say twice that she is remaking the order. Counter girl with blue hair (who was very polite) comes back and says "We are really understaffed right now and it might be a bit before they get to you." I told her I would wait.

Manager comes over, after 3 or 4 mins later and throws the bag on the counter in front of me and said in a pissed off tone, "I remade it." I told her I just wanted my money back. She again says, "I just remade it". I said I have been disrespected enough, I just want my money back. She quickly snatches the bag and disappears without a word to me.

Then I hear her say to the drive thru girl "This is all your fault. I just wasted time remaking this". While I waited for the manager to come process my refund I could see the drive thru girl pacing back and forth and glancing at me. Manager comes back, slams cash down on the counter in front of me and says "Here's your money", and walks off.

While I was counting the money the drive thru girl that yelled at me came over and apologized but said I didn't give you the same bag. I told her I get it you are having a bad day but I just came here for food. She told me "I am not having a bad day, that other customer was rude." I said none of this was my fault and she agreed but still said she didn't give me the same bag she gave to the other customer. By this time I realized the refund was a quarter short and I told her so.

She told the manager she shorted me a quarter. Normally, I would have just left but the amount of disrespect I got from both the drive thru worker and then the manager was enough to not leave the establishment without the full refund. Mind you, I had just driven 30 minutes to get to this KFC and had a 30 minute ride back home and I was leaving without any food. The manager literally came back and slammed the missing quarter down in front of me.

Still not saying anything. Note: I had paid with my debit card, not cash. I have been going to this same KFC for 20+ years and though I no longer lived close by, I had driven there tonight because no matter how busy they were they were always pleasant to me and the food was always good. Tonight was the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I will not be back, ever.

The fact they were so beyond rude to me for something I had nothing to do with is beyond reproach. To top it off, I came home with no dinner and pissed off after having been disrespected for simply trying to pick up some chicken.

Terrible service, Eunice Bannister, Manager Partner, we ordered the 8 piece meal, employee brings tray with box, it's a 3 piece meal, we tell him this is not what we ordered, He calls mgr Eunice, she seems to be in a bad mood, we tell her we ordered 8 piece dinner, very rude she replied we should of said something when he told us the total, he gave us the total when he brought tray to counter, that's when we said we ordered 8 piece not a 3 piece, Eunice is like I can't give you a refund, we don't want a refund we want the 8 piece, Eunice says you have to pay for this 3 piece meal, my room mate and Eunice start to argue, a gentle man is waiting for his order, he steps in and tells Eunice, excuse me, I heard the lady ask for the 8 piece meal, Eunice says well my employee has only been here 3days he made a mistake, but yet we still hadn't paid for the meal , yet she wouldn't change it to the 8 piece meal, we should've just walked out but it was 5 ,grandson wanted KFC so we stayed, paid for the 3 piece plus had to order another 3 piece, very disappointed with service, even had another customer waiting on his meal stepping in and telling Eunice what we had ordered, all she had to do was take the tray, because we hadn't even payed for the food and make our order right but she refused by saying can't give you a refund, WE WERE NOT ASKING FOR A REFUND! Then the employee was a white young guy red beard, wasn't even groomed, look bad. Oh and the chicken 2 burned pieces and yes did take a picture of burnt chicken.

The customer is NOT always right ; but they are still the customer. Forget your stupid apology ; it would be insincere and then the entire staff would laugh about you.

Grow some skin and learn to take minor annoyances. Boycott places that annoy you.

Lets not forget I have a my psychology and law degree. Both my friend & I applied except . Shes WHITE & got an interview & never worked fast food. Me, Black & Filipino dont get a chance because Im black.

Legally maybe I should file a discrimination lawsuit. And if youre NOT hiring take down the application!!! :) Also, you guys didnt decide to go with other candidates because my resume way too perfect , its because Im black. As stated above my friend, BestFriend with no background work experience and is pure WHITE got an interview I wonder how thatll look for a judge !!!

On Saturday, July 20, 2024, at approximately 7:30, I drove to Kentucky Fried Chicken on Hwy 100 and National in West Allis, only to be told they had only one chicken breast left, or I could have tenders or bites. What I'd wanted was two breasts, but I took the one they had left and a wing, ordered a large mashed potatoes and gravy, two biscuits, and a small coleslaw.

I asked for extra butter for the biscuits because I'm dog sitting for my son, and I saw he had none. When I got back and opened everything up, I had no utensils, no butter, no napkins, and what looked like a tablespoon of coleslaw. I tried calling the store to complain, but after 14 tries with the line being busy each time, I gave up. I knew they closed at 8 p.m., so I tried calling again at 7:55, and what do you know?

The phone actually rang! And rang, and rang, and rang. I spent over $21.00 of my money for disappointment and an uncaring bunch of people who, in my opinion, chose to take the phone off the hook. I'll never go there again, and I'd like my money back.

There needs to be some people actually running the place who care about customer service, the quality of food, and getting the orders right.

I got no receipt either. No one even offered one.

First of all, I went to a park to eat the meal I purchased… not back to my sons home and when you ask for things in your order you trust you will get what you’ve paid for and not hold up the line of cars behind you by rummaging through your bag to check! And why should I have to check?!?

I stated what I wanted and paid for it with every belief I would get everything!! They were in a rush to close and didn’t care!

It’s as simple as that and that wasn’t the right size of coleslaw! I’ve had KFC coleslaw enough times to know what a regular order looks like!

I forgot to add: that is the correct size for a small, individual cole slaw. Really, the only mess up with your order was the lack of butter which you could have prevented by checking the bag.

Your request for a full refund is not appropriate unless you returned the order intact to the location. You don't get a full refund over some butter packets.

You don't specify if you went inside or used the drive-thru, but if you went inside, you would have gotten the napkins and utensils yourself. Next time, order a large cole slaw and check your order.

He doesn't have any napkins or paper towels? Not even a washcloth or a bit of toilet paper to wipe your hands on?

You want a full refund, even though you don't mention anything being wrong with the 2 most expensive items you ordered: the chicken and the large mashed with gravy. Sorry there was no butter, but you could have checked your order before leaving the parking lot.

I was standing at the drive through from 9:47 pm to 9:55 pm and I just got out the hospital the cook looked at me and walked to the lobby thats apparently closed at 9:47 pm the manager had an attitude she was no help with anything didnt get names and the cook had bushy hair and didnt have a hair net on and this is the Belle Vernon store by the way

Filthy facilities demonstrate a distinct lack of care and involvement by the boss and the paid help. If something so simple as clean porcelain eludes them, I'd be afraid to check out the cooking and food storage facilities. The same goes for repair shops, etc.; a big mess indicates a big mess.

They sell coupons laced with racial undertones and then don't honor them. It's very deceiving when they sell them to you but don't inform you that you can't use them for two or more months. When they sell them, they misleadingly claim you can use them on future visits, which is not true.

I had the sincere pleasure of visiting your KFC restaurant in Orange City, Florida, 32763, USA, on Saxon Blvd. I witnessed an excellent team of employees and Manager! The entire team worked hard, was polite, was professional, served many roles including excellent customer service, and made excellent food! I ordered twice via app and once at the counter. Melissa, the Manager, leads by example! Melissa worked alongside her team fulfilling orders and serving customers. I provided feedback to Melissa about specific, positive observations that I had about each team member!

Leon, the Manager-in-waiting, was polite, efficient, friendly and interacted with customers extremely well. Leon filled orders and delivered orders to customers waiting outside. Andre prepped the orders and worked diligently 'behind the scenes'. Although, Andre's contributions to the team were still very well observed! Larry, the cook, was amazing!! I willingly chose to wait for freshly cooked food and Larry kept me fully informed about the time remaining to wait until my order was ready. Larry also assisted me in taking positive feedback about the team while I was in the restaurant.

Fantasia worked the drive-thru. I witnessed Fantasia work quickly and efficiently, fulfilling orders and treating customers well! Fantasia asked her customers if she could provide them with anything else. Dee was on the pack line and was seamless with fulfilling orders! Even though Dee is a bit quiet and shy, Dee still interacted very well with the team members as well as the customers.

Then, there is Ana!! Ana is the Cleaning Captain. Ana did it all! I was greeted by Ana upon arrival. Ana took customers' orders. Ana filled orders and delivered the orders to customers waiting outside! Ana cleaned windows, tables, and floors. Ana made the bathrooms spotless! The entire restaurant smelled clean because of Ana!!! Ana was respectful, polite, helpful, concerned, provided excellent customer service, was speedy and efficient, and was welcoming to every customer. Ana asked every customer in the dining area how they were enjoying their meals and if Ana could bring them anything.

Hi KFC CS,

I was in Stratford, CT, from Toronto, Canada, to attend a funeral of a family member. On Sunday, June 16th, I went to KFC restaurant #F569018 on 1322 Barnum Ave at 9:05 pm, ticket 1494, ordered 16 pc and 4 pc meals. Upon arriving at home, I discovered my order was missing a 4 pc meal. In total, I paid $81.63 USD. I had to go back to the restaurant to get the missing item. The chicken was black and burnt, which appeared to have been cooked in old, burnt oil that has not been changed for months. The salt content was extremely high. This was a very unpleasant and disappointing experience. The price was very high in comparison to Canada for a 16 pc meal: $50.99 USD vs $34.00 CAD. The whole chicken was good enough to feed a garbage can but NOT fit to feed any human or animal. I would never visit KFC in the USA on my subsequent trips and will never recommend it to any of my friends and relatives.

My name is Omid Gitinezhad, and I have been working at your KFC branch in Wilhelmshaven for the past two months, primarily in the preparation of sandwiches and fries. Although I have only been with you for a short time, I have previously worked in other restaurants and would like to share a few suggestions that I believe could help improve your customer service.

1. **Seasoning for Fries**: Currently, we only use salt to season the fries. However, I believe that a mix of various spices, which the ARO company likely offers or could produce for a large brand like KFC, could enhance the flavor.

2. **Optimizing Fry Thickness**: A while ago, we received some fries from the neighboring Pizza Hut, and I noticed that because their fries were slightly thicker, they stayed fresh for much longer. This might allow us to adjust the rule that states fries must be discarded after five minutes, potentially reducing costs.

3. **Student Discounts**: Many of our customers are students, including myself and several of my colleagues. If there were special discounts for students, I believe it could significantly increase sales. According to my inquiries, there is currently no such offer at the cash register.

4. **Collecting Employee Ideas**: It would be beneficial to provide a form at the end of each year where employees can submit their ideas and suggestions for improving quality. Many of us may have useful experiences but may be hesitant to share them. This could help uncover many hidden opportunities.

5. **Offers for Children**: I've noticed that Germany currently has many families with children, and, compared to my previous job at McDonald's, KFC offers fewer entertainment options for kids. For example, McDonald's has play areas or small toys with meals. Our branch recently introduced paper game packages, but I've observed that kids often leave them on the tray. Including a small toy could be much more impactful, and, as you know, children often influence where families choose to eat. :)

Lastly, I would like to thank you. It is an honor to work at your restaurant, and I am very satisfied with my job. I have put a lot of effort into observing these points and writing this email, and I would be happy if my suggestions are carefully considered and if I could receive feedback or a response.
